How does onboarding work?
Our onboarding has 3 phases: (1) importing your existing patients, care workers and schedules, (2) configuring the settings and workflows specific to your organisation, and (3) training your team through hands-on workshops. The whole process takes 2–4 weeks on average, depending on the size of your organisation.
Does CareCloud work with our existing electronic care record system?
Yes. CareCloud has an open API architecture and standard connections to the electronic care record systems most widely used in Belgium. We support HL7/FHIR standards and offer bespoke connections for Enterprise customers. Get in touch for an overview of existing integrations.
Is CareCloud GDPR compliant?
Absolutely. CareCloud is designed with privacy by design. All data is processed and stored within the EU (European data centres). We provide Data Processing Agreements (DPAs) and privacy impact assessments, and we meet every requirement of the GDPR. Our security measures are audited annually.
How exactly does the AI scheduling work?
Our AI scheduling algorithm takes more than 20 variables into account: care workers' skills, patient preferences, travel time, NIHDI nomenclature, availability, workload balancing and more. The system learns every day from completed schedules and feedback, so the quality keeps improving.

Which eHealth integrations are supported?
CareCloud integrates with the entire Belgian eHealth ecosystem: the eHealth platform (certificates and mandates), MyCareNet (third-party payer scheme), Vitalink (shared medication scheme), Recip-e (electronic prescription) and eAttest. Enterprise customers also get access to HL7/FHIR connections with hospital systems.
What about support?
Every plan includes access to our knowledge base and email support. Professional customers get priority support with a guaranteed 4-hour response time. Enterprise customers have a dedicated account manager and 24/7 phone support. Our support team works in Dutch and French.
Can multiple sites work together in CareCloud?
Yes, CareCloud supports multi-site configurations. Each site manages its own settings and teams, while management gets a consolidated view across all locations. Ideal for umbrella organisations and home care networks.
Does the mobile app work offline too?
Yes, the CareCloud mobile app stores the day's schedule, patient data and route data locally. Care workers can complete their reports without an internet connection. Everything syncs automatically as soon as the connection is back.
What does CareCloud cost for patients and carers?
The patient portal and carer access are free. If your home care organisation uses CareCloud, patients and their carers automatically get access to their schedule, care plan and messaging tools — at no extra cost.
